Waiver, Release of Liability & Media Consent

By registering for or participating in any activities organized by Up Next Sports League, including but not limited to basketball, volleyball, and related league events, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

I understand that participation in sports activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, permanent disability, or death. I voluntarily choose to participate and freely assume all risks, both known and unknown, associated with my participation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby waive, release, and hold harmless Up Next Sports League, including its organizers, directors, staff, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and affiliated facilities (including Overtime Athletics), from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or related to my participation in league activities, including those arising from negligence.

I confirm that I am physically able and medically fit to participate and understand that Up Next Sports League does not provide medical insurance for participants. I accept full responsibility for any injuries or medical expenses that may occur as a result of my participation.

I agree to conduct myself in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner and to follow all league rules and policies. Up Next Sports League reserves the right to remove any participant whose conduct is unsafe, inappropriate, or violates league policies.

I grant Up Next Sports League permission to photograph, record, or capture my participation during league games and events. I acknowledge that my name, image, statistics, and related content may be used on the league’s website, social media platforms, promotional materials, and other league media content without compensation.

If I do not wish for my photo or media to be shared, I understand that I must notify the league convenor at the start of the season.

I also consent to the collection and use of basic participant information (including name, team name, and statistics) for league operations, scheduling, record keeping, and promotional purposes.

By selecting “I Agree”, I confirm that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to this Waiver, Release of Liability, and Media Consent Agreement.
